How Marvelous! lol

This week was crazy haha we were SO busy! which is a very good thing haha. One of the most exciting things that happened this week was our exchanges in Kenora! I love being a sister training leader! Exchanges are so fun! Kenora is about 2 1/2 hours away. It's in Ontario (so I've officially been in every province in our mission!). The drive down was so much fun! It's not every day.. or ever that you get to have a road trip on your mission! haha so it was fun. Lots of snacks and rocking to Mormon mission approved music haha. We got to Kenora late Wednesday, had our exchange on Thursday and drove back Friday morning. I went with Sister Haner and Sister Davis went with Sister Porter. I love Sister Haner so much. The first exchange me and Sister Davis had as sister training leaders was good but it definitely could have been better. We are both new at this and so it's a little bit of a trial and error haha so leading up to the exchange in Kenora I was very nervous. I wanted it to be amazing like ones I've had with my past sister training leaders! So I spent a lot of time preparing and praying for miracles to happen on the exchange and wow did God ever answer my prayers!! Right away in the morning sister Haner said she could feel the spirit and knew I had spent my time preparing for this day. It meant so much to me that she could feel that! Then the day went on and we had a lesson with one of their investigators preparing for baptism. They were all fasting for him to receive confirmation that Joseph smith was a prophet. It was the only thing holding him back. At the beginning of the lesson he seemed still in doubt and unsure but as we read from the book of Mormon and testified, it just clicked. instantly! I've never seen such a transformation on my mission before! Literally in the middle of the lesson, the light bulb went on and everything went together. He was in awe. He explained how he was so tingly and happy with such a warm feeling overpowering him. The holy ghost! He was so happy and full of such joy! He knew! It was a miracle I'm thankful to have witnessed! It was absolutely amazing.

The other really exciting thing that happened was a new investigator we found! We were walking to our apartment and stopped to talk to her as she passed us on the street. We asked if she would be interested in our message and she said yes! we went over a couple days later! It catches me off guard every time that happens haha I'm like.. wait what?.. you said yes?! YAY!! hahaha so we went over and the spirit was so strong as we taught her the restoration. She said she felt something in her chest but couldn't describe it. We informed her that it was the Holy Ghost testifying of the truth. She said she was excited to learn more and accepted our invitation to be baptized! YAY! How amazing! We have been praying so much for prepared people to teach and ta-da! Her name is Tamara and we found her! I love being a missionary! It is the hardest and best thing I've ever done. The blessings of serving the Lord is so rewarding. I know the church is true and I know that this is the time to hasten the work! how marvelous!

Zone Conference

I literally blinked and this week was gone haha
This week we really got to see what sister training leaders are all about! Haha we had exchanges with some Sisters and it was great! I went with... SISTER FELLOWS!! how funny eh?! It was weird at first to be like oh hi trainer! let me help you! haha but we had a blast! It honestly felt like we were companions again. Lots of laughs and taught great together. I hope she learned something haha it was mainly just a blast. We also got to call Cheryl (our new convert in Moose Jaw) and she was so happy! It was great talking to her again! I miss her! She calls us her daughters. It's the cutest thing. Then at the end of the phone call Cheryl was like "HEY! How are you two together right now?!" haha it was funny.

Thursday I was nervous would be hard because it was the year mark of when Mac passed away. As I'm sure everyone knows. But Sister And President Thomas called and said they loved me and checked up on me and Sister smith and Brimhall even got permission to call me! It was so great to talk with them! I love them so so much!!!

This week Elder Malm from the 70 came to our mission to do a Zone conference with us. It was soo good!!! He is so funny! I learned so much! I love conferences because we get to sit back, learn, and feel the spirit! which feels great! I get all fuel up and ready to go! We talked a lot about the importance of the spirit in our missionary work and about being diligent. I loved it! He is so smart! We also talked a lot about being unified with our companions. Sister Davis and I are working on that one. With everything, just making sure we are always on the same page and are switching off in teaching and being one. I think we teach very well together! Its fun haha. But the most exciting things was after the conference everyone was leaving but Elder Malm wanted to interview a few missionaries and I was one of them!! YAY! It was the best things ever!! We sat down, said a prayer, he asked me a few questions about the conference and about my thoughts and feelings and then about my family. Then he just looked into my eyes (or my soul i should say) and he started saying the most inspired things ever! He literally got who I am. He gave me some amazing advice and wow it was so neat! Then he asked if I had any questions. Of course I asked how he got to be so in tune with the spirit. Was it from the calling of being a general authority or did it take time and effort? He told me to just look at people and observe. Then say anything that comes to mind, without holding back the fear that it was just a thought. It was amazing. Then we also had a Missionary Leadership Counsel (for zone leaders and sister training leaders with president Thomas for more training and to talk about the mission) and Elder Malm was there for that too! So we had a great meeting and ate lunch together after! He told us so many amazing stories! He has been on 4 missions! He is so smart and funny! It was the best!!!

Sister Davis and I are working very closely with a few people, scheduled for baptism this month! They are all doing very well and we are so excited! It feels so good to see the results of hard work and diligence. I'm very excited!

I love you all so much and hope you had an amazing day! Thank you for all your love and encouragement!

Turkey and comfort...oh, that's the same thing!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!

This week went by fast as always haha it was a tad very stressful, just trying to figure out a lot of things, new companion, STL, craziness. haha but its going well! Are Zone Leaders are the absolute BEST and keep us laughing.

We have been seeing a lot of success the past couple weeks. We have 4 investigators being prepared for baptism so that is great! We are praying all goes smoothly and as planned until then! (....which never happens haha) But its going to be great!!! We have seen many blessings and miracles!!! Something crazy happened on Sunday haha so we were at church and just finished sitting in in gospel principles and then we get a phone call and its an investigator we stopped teaching. (she lives with her boyfriend and he is.. not good to her and he didn't like us so it just wasn't good.) So we take her call and she is crying and said her mom is dying and there's so many crazy bad things and well that's all we could understand because she was crying so much. Anyway, we hop into our car and go over. She is a mess. She just so badly wanted to be distracted and comforted so we prayed and read scriptures and sang to her. She was calm and felt the amazing gift of comfort after a blessing by the Zone leaders.

Then her boyfriend was coming in, so we grabbed our shoes and booked it out. Awkward. it was crazy. I don't even know haha but it was amazing to see someone experience that power of the priesthood and feel the energy from the holy ghost. It truly was unreal to see her face. She could feel it. It was amazing. The things you witness on a mission haha nothing better!!!

Me and sister Davis were able to do a lot of service for the boys and girls club this week! We did lots of face painting! It was so fun! I loved it! We also have been doing a lot of singing and we are singing at zone conference and stake conference (in the choir). It'll be good I hope!!!

I love you all so much! Have a happy thanksgiving!!!! So much to be grateful for!

Uplifting experiences!

I can't believe another transfer is already gone and we are already into a new one! AH! Saying goodbye to Sister Brimhall was the WORST!!! We cried haha I miss her a lot. She really is so special. Love her! But we had a lot of great memories and hey! Who knows, maybe we will be companions again haha we even asked President. True story. So that was sad. But Sister Davis is really great! She is a power-house! Filled with so much passion and fire! A very hard worker. So I'm excited to learn a lot from her and for us to grow together! We are all settled in (we meaning she is haha) and ready to go! We already have our exchange calender for when we want to go see our sisters. So that is exciting! ROAD TRIP! We can't wait haha.

This week flew by with Sister Brimhall saying goodbye to everyone and sister Davis saying hello and meeting everyone haha it's been crazy! I feel like a chicken with my head cut off! But it's good haha. Probably the most exciting thing happened a couple days ago, so do you remember our new African investigator? We found her a couple weeks ago and met at her friends house who is a less-active we are working with. Anyway, we were over there and she said her son has been reading the book of Mormon and loves it and wants to know about it! YAY! She has two sons that are interested. AND she said she knows the book of Mormon is true! So we set a baptismal date with her and one of the sons, since the older one wasn't there. We are so excited!!! It was amazing!! I love extending the baptismal date commitment. I love their reactions. It can be so spiritual. love it! So they are our main focus right now. It'll be really good.

Oh and I'm so proud! I'm the driver now and I haven't even crashed once! haha and we haven't gotten lost yet either! But that is mainly because my GPS saves the day all day haha love him!

AND this week was CONFERENCE!!!! I love conference so much! It was great! I loved Elder Hollands talk. He is such a powerful speaker. It's so true that we need to help the poor and needy more. And when he told us how President Monson had his slippers on in the airport because he gave his shoes away! Oh, it melted my heart. I had a lot of questions written down in my note book for conference, praying for them to be answered. And they all were! Some were vague but I take that as God telling me that I already know the answer and shouldn't worry about it haha but it was great! I received a lot of inspiration and direction!

Love you all so much!! Happy fall!!

Sister Heinzlmeir
