Hey everyone!
So, last Monday we went to a members house to watch "The Saratov Approach" (yes we got it approved from president) and HOLY MAN!!!! ITS SO GOOD!! Everyone has to watch it! But I will warn you... It's intense and scary. Not like very scary. But It's like the show "Taken". Only with missionaries. It was such a good night. All of the girls watching cried and Elder Frenkel and Elder Stoker cried haha its that good people!
This week we taught an investigator in Tim Horton's! It was kinda weird at first but then it was fine. We taught about the Book Of Mormon and how it blesses our lives. I really love teaching people. I was always nervous about teaching before I left on my mission but I've learned that it really doesn't matter what I say. I'm not the actual teacher. The Holy Ghost is the teacher. And what an incredible feeling it is to speak or ask questions that come straight from the holy ghosts promptings and inspiration. I have never felt something more magical then speaking to someone and knowing that those words were not my own, but given to through the spirit. wow. It's amazing.
Moose Jaw has been a great place to start my mission. The members are honestly the best. They take such good care of us. It may be a small ward, but it's growing and it's strong! I love serving here! The snow is melting too! Which is always good! I can't wait for summer!
And General conference is this week! I'm so excited! We get to listen to the prophet and his apostles! What a great blessing we have been given! and what a great opportunity to share the gospel with friends and family! I encourage all of you to invite others to watch General Conference with your families!
It's been a slow week but still good! Me and Sister Fellows are starting to become great friends! She is such a kind and thoughtful person. I love her! And I love serving with her! I love being a missionary! I love telling everyone about the gospel and the happiness that comes from it! I know this church is true and I know that this gospel is the gospel of Jesus Christ and that if we will follow him, and obey him, we will have everlasting happiness and joy. I love you all so much!

oooooo.....in with the Mayor of Moose Jaw!
Oh my! This week went by so fast! Days feel like weeks, and weeks feel like days. Truest missionary quote I've ever heard in my life! haha
So no big deal or anything, but all 6 of us fantastic Moose Jaw missionaries had an appointment with the mayor! YEAH! THE MAYOR! I'm just saying. We got a little tour and we sat in a fancy room and discussed how we were missionaries and want to help in the community and serve! She gave us a list of service opportunities and said if we needed any connections or anything to let her know and she would help us out. So we are pretty much baptizing all of Moose Jaw haha. Well.. not yet. but soon hahaha we are working on it!
It was Elder Certain's birthday Wednesday! We bought timbits the night before and brought them to their apartment nice and early, rang their doorbell, then ran away! We left a note with the doughnuts too. I told him in the note it was a Heinzlmeir tradition to have doughnuts for breakfast. He liked them! We also got him a little gift for later that day and had a yummy cake at a members home! I love birthdays. It was lots of fun being all sneaky and making him feel special. Sister Fellows birthday is coming up soon actually! I better start planning what i should do!
St. Patrick's day was so much fun! We went to a members house and had green pancakes for dinner with money in them! Then mint milkshakes with rainbows and clouds in them! YUM! Their kids hid chocolate coins around the house for us to find too haha they are so cute! The members here are honestly the best! We get so spoiled! I'm not even kidding! I'm so blessed to serve here!
We didn't teach as much as we wanted to this week but we still taught a fair bit! so that's very good! We met this one lady and have been talking to her a lot. We had one lesson last week and are seeing her later on this week. When we talked to her last, we gave her a book of Mormon, she hugged it and said she would read it! Not gonna lie... I was pretty happy about that hahaha she told me and sister fellows she wished we were her daughters. She calls us her snow angels because one night when we didn't really know her yet, we shoveled her driveway and sidewalk. in skirts hahaha. she was so impressed and amazed. It felt so good doing service for someone and seeing the great results! We have high hopes for her!
Oh and in another lesson we had, we taught the restoration and I recited the first vision by memory! It was so amazing! The spirit was so strong! I love love love teaching people! I love being a missionary and being able to serve all day and focus everything on the Lord. I am blessed for this opportunity. I am serving with such great missionaries and am very excited for the work we are doing here in Moose Jaw. It's small and pretty old, but I love every part of it! I'm trying my best every day to be 100% diligent and i see the blessing that come from my efforts. It's incredible. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else but right here. serving the lord and building his kingdom.

Another pic from the MTC
Her humble abode. She says it's clean, cozy and smells good...lol (which is VERY important, and I'm not being sarcastic!)
Happy Belated St. Patty's Day from Jen!
She coloured her companion's hair for her...and it turned out great she said. Phew.
Their car...the Elder's left them a message.
Face masks. Good to know they have time for 'girly' things. It's a necessity you know!

I can just hear her when I read this...it's so awesome!
Hey everyone!
This week has been so busy! Which is very very good! President Thomas is so great! He shared something with us new missionaries that I just love! he said that this mission is a high trust mission. Simply because the boundaries are HUGE! He explained how other missions, the president can visit everyone whenever he wants and call for mission meetings and get in contact quickly to make sure everyone is being obedient. But he can't do that here. There are some areas that are 16 hour bus rides away! So, we were called to this mission for many reasons, but one of those reasons is because we are honest, obedient, and trustworthy. I loved that. Made me have so much comfort knowing I am trustworthy enough to be called here.
There are many new things in the mission field that are not at the MTC. Like buying groceries! oh i love it! it's so exciting! mainly because it's my first time being away from home and i feel so grown up haha. And street contacting or tracting... oh my.. i hate it hahaha people aren't always as friendly as they look. You never know what you're getting yourself into! But it's pretty exciting actually haha oh.. and the lame rule about backing up the car! Sister Fellows is the driver and i have the phone. and every time she has to back up, I get to go outside in the snowy slush and guide her. The one rule I wish i could change! haha but that's alright. One day I'll be the driver and my companion will be the one getting her shoes all wet and icky haha
This week we taught so many people! New converts, less actives and investigators! It's been great! Since I'm still new and being trained, I have to do certain things to complete the training. One of those things was leading the restoration lesson and inviting someone to be baptized! I was not excited to hear that's what my assignment was haha but i did it! and the investigator said he would think about baptism! BOOM! love it! haha.
I love Moose Jaw! the members are the BEST! we have meals almost every day during the week! and the missionaries serving here with me are so great! Elder Frenkel (German) is teaching me how to speak German! It's so hard haha but i love it! I know so many sentences! WOOHOO! And Elder Certain is hilarious! Our alarm clock is actually a recording on our phone of him singing a song he made up haha about waking up at 6:30 in the morning and praying and such haha it cracks me up every time. which helps my grumpy morning mood haha. Oh and PS, our mission will soon be getting FACEBOOK! YAY! I'm SO excited! i can add friends and family on my missionary account but i can't talk to anyone unless it's gospel related and helping my purpose as a missionary! But it's so exciting! We have been so busy with service too! It's been wonderful! I love serving and talking to the people we meet while we serve! I love love love serving a mission. It's hard but worth it. I'm very blessed to be serving in the Canada Winnipeg mission and looking forward to whats still to come! The journey has just begun! I love you all and am thankful for the love and support!

ps...Jen is asking for people to write more 'letters' than emails as she is getting more than 20 emails per week and can't possibly reply to all of them. She loves you all, but not enough time. So if you'd like to write, here is the address:

Jenna has arrived in her first area!
THE TIME HAS COME!
Leaving the MTC was pretty emotional actually haha I just loved my teachers and friends so much I didn't want to say goodbye! But I was SO excited to get my work started up in Winnipeg! We got there safely and was greeted and welcomed by President Thomas, his wife, and the assistants to the president! We had a huge dinner and and the next morning a huge breakfast! mm so yummy. Then off to the chapel we went for orientation! We had more instruction on how we should behave and rules to follow and such. That's where the hardest rule of all was revealed... NO SLANG! oh my.. you have no idea how hard that has been! we cant even say awesome, cool, sweet, or anything! I was so scared to even talk after he told us that haha but im getting better!(this is going to make her sound more grown-up! lol And, for anyone who knows Jen, she has pretty long list of slang words she uses...nothing bad, just short forms...this rule would've been impossible for her Aussie companion to follow considering the Aussies shorten everything and use slang terms for everything!) I now have to use words like neat, wonderful, fantastic. I sound so weird haha its different. but we are representatives of Jesus Christ! That holds a lot of responsibility! We need to be the best we can be in literally every way! I'm getting better at it haha but it could take me a while.
After the orientation i was assigned to my first area and trainer. MOOSE JAW!!! you have no idea how hard i laughed when i found out!! well... on the inside i did. Definitely not in front of president and all the missionaries there!! It was so funny. Of course I'm going to Moose Jaw. And my friend from the MTC Sister Brimhall is staying in Winnipeg. her one worry was driving. she is from Arizona and does not know how to drive on icey roads! Right after she told me her fear.. low and behold.. One of the assistance to the president walks up and hands her the keys hahah her companion doesn't have a license! Oh i died. it was too good. Anyway, off to Moose jaw i went! (6hour drive from Winnipeg). and there i met my trainer! Sister Fellows from Utah! She is so great! Very patient and kind but also funny and jokes around. I love her. It's been pretty overwhelming settling in to my new home. It made it all so real. I may have freaked a little but luckily my companion is fantastic and she calmed me down hahaha the ward here is so wonderful! We get fed very often! and yummy meals too! bonus! There are 4 Elders here along with me and sister Fellows. they are great. I'm so excited for what's to come but nervous too! SO many new things!! I miss you all and love you so much! the support has meant the world to me. BRING IT ON MOOSE JAW! IM READY! LETS TEACH THE GOSPEL PEOPLE!!!

Now this is a play-by-play report from the MTC!
The difference between the boys and the girls...VOLUME, DETAILS and PICS!!! That's my girl. ;)
Hey everyone!
Wow.. Two weeks. It went by so fast!... but i guess thats what everyone says haha and its TRUE!! This week was great! Me, sister clarke, sister brimhall and sister fihaki sang in the choir for the tuesday night devotional! It was so fun! there are some talented people here at the MTC! holy man! The devotional was very good too! its was about having christlike attributes. Pretty much just laid down the law haha we all went back to residence (our room) and basically we were on a spiritual/motivational high. We all made goals and have been helping each other try to be better! I love these Sisters! We have actually made plans for the summer in 2016 to get together haha im blessed to have been able to go through this experience with them! They make it all the better!
I love love love being a missionary. And i actually like the role playing lessons with our teachers! It was weird at first but if you really try to make it real, you can have such spiritual experiences! We have been teaching 4 investigators! (two are teachers and two are real investigators who just volunteer at the MTC). Its been great! We taught this one lady and the first lesson.. oh my.. it was a gong show hahaa she just had so many questions and we tried to answer them all! lesson learned... DONT try to answer the questions all at once.. follow the lessons plan order hahaha restoration first!!!! unless otherwise prompted!!! seriously it was so funny though haha there was many sister wives questions and weed questions. We just laughed with her and joked around. Next lesson went WAY better though ahah it was actually great. The spirit was so strong and i loved it. We talk about that lesson often ahah and just laugh. We were all over the place. But better now right? crash and burn here so we can learn faster haha.
OH! and the new sister arrived last week! Me and Sister Clarke showed them around and gave them cookies! We also posted noted their door and wrote little notes for motivation! haha That's what our sister Missionary Leaders did for us and it worked on us so we gave it a try! It worked! They are all so sweet and excited! I love it! I feel like i've been here for so long but really.. i've only been here a week longer then them haahah
We also had a "In-Field-Orientation" last friday. It was so fun! they put so much effort into making it fun and exciting! since it was ALL DAY LONG! but i enjoyed it!! and learned a lot!! made me so excited to get going and leave the MTC!! Me, Sister Brimhall and Sister Fihaki are making a goal to talk to people in the ariport! since we are all traveling together! along with our three Elders. I can't wait!! It'll be so much fun! I love being a missionary! (i think i said that already.. but i can't help it! its so exciting!)
All in all, the week was great! I learned so much and am getting extremely excited! This is where im meant to be. i couldnt be happier. I already feel myself growing and changing so much but in all good ways (i hope) haha. I just want o be a better person and spread the gospel! The church is true my friends! the church is true!
